When an industrial cooling fan fails, identifying a suitable replacement can be difficult—particularly when the original model is discontinued, its nameplate is damaged or the equipment manufacturer is no longer available. EVAPNEX helps customers organise the technical information needed to review replacement options for cooling towers, dry coolers, air-handling units, condensers and industrial refrigeration equipment.
Replacement workflow
A practical route from site photographs to a technical quotation.
- Identify the existing fan. Send photographs of the fan, motor nameplate, model number and any available drawing or previous purchase reference.
- Confirm the application. Identify whether the fan serves a cooling tower, dry cooler, condenser, AHU, refrigeration unit or another industrial application.
- Review operating requirements. Check airflow, static pressure, fan diameter, speed, rotation, airflow direction, motor voltage and frequency, power, mounting arrangement and available installation space.
- Check controls and operating conditions. Identify direct-on-line, soft-starter, VFD, EC or other control arrangements, as well as ambient temperature, corrosion exposure, noise limits and required protection rating.
- Prepare a replacement proposal. Compare the available technical information with potential equipment options. Confirm dimensional compatibility, operating performance, modifications, availability and quotation details before proposing a replacement.
