Engineering & Product Selection

EVAPNEX approaches cooling, refrigeration and air-movement enquiries from the operating duty. Product recommendations require verification of application data, constraints and supplier performance information; preliminary discussions are not a guaranteed duty or final design.

Cooling Tower Thermal Selection

Illustrative industrial cooling tower

We review circulating-water flow, range (hot-water minus cold-water temperature), approach (cold-water temperature minus entering-air wet-bulb temperature), ambient conditions, site elevation and expected operating conditions. Water quality, drift limits, fan duty, fill type and access are also relevant to equipment selection.

Airside and Fan Selection

Axial cooling fan assembly

Fan selection should use an airflow-versus-static-pressure curve at the required operating point—not free-air flow alone. Motor power, fan speed, air density, sound, temperature, protective rating, installation orientation and control method should be checked against the actual system resistance.

Heat Transfer & Refrigeration

Illustrative closed circuit heat exchanger coil

For coils, closed-circuit coolers, condensers and chillers, selection requires fluid or refrigerant details, flow rate, inlet/outlet conditions, heat rejection or cooling duty, ambient conditions, allowable pressure loss and materials compatibility. Special requirements for ammonia service must be identified explicitly.

Replacement and Retrofit Review

For existing equipment, share the OEM and model, nameplates, drawings, measured dimensions, photographs, operating temperatures and flow, fan or motor details and the reported issue. We can review compatible alternatives through qualified partners, subject to dimensional and performance confirmation.

Scope and Documentation

A quotation may include applicable manufacturer drawings, datasheets, performance curves, material and electrical details and proposed quality documents. Applicable specifications, compliance and acceptance criteria are to be agreed for each order; no unverified certification or performance guarantee is implied.
